Distance Bus Travel Assistance for students living more than 3.2km for primary (years prep-6) or 4.8km for secondary (years 7-12) by the shortest trafficable route from their nearest state school. Non-state school students must live more than the required distance from both the nearest state school and non-state of the type attended. Safety Net Bus Travel Assistance students who do not meet the distance requirements listed above must be listed as a dependant on the applicant’s Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Concession Card. Students who have a card issued in their own name or are subject to a Child Protection Order may also qualify for Safety-Net assistance.
